Curatorial Statement

There are people who live unmapped lives—not because they are fearless, but because staying on the prescribed path would deprive them of something they are not willing to lose: themselves. These are the ones I call crossfaders, who shift boundaries, redefine reality, and cultivate lives that are imaginative, audacious, and unapologetically authentic. They live by an internal compass, instead of an inherited map. Society admires them, sometimes exploits them, but rarely dignifies or protects them. Instead, it reserves its loudest voice for weaponizing fear to push conformity. It says: "this uncharted path will destroy you." I refuse that lie. My life is evidence, and I've always known others whose lives prove the wilderness is indeed survivable. Back in 2009, I began inviting some of these outliers—mostly musicians, because someone has to treat us as the cultural thinkers and shapers we are—to sit down on camera and tell the unfiltered truth. Shot fast, raw, and at the speed of inspiration, *The ReMixed Mind: Crossfaders, Visionaries and other Revolutionaries* is an emotionally charged, unscripted conversation film series that captures what happens when a constellation of unapologetic rebel raisers and crossfaders step away from managed identities and, without context, into a room designed for risk and the lived experience of minds in motion, diving deep. The result: laughter, challenge, vulnerability, revelation, and the irrefutable proof that risk is generative, and courage, not compliance, is what makes us wholly ourselves. At its core, The reMixed Mind is cultural intervention masquerading as conversation. It is infrastructure—a wisdom canon that creates legitimacy, continuity, and lineage where there was none. It is an act of witnessing, a refusal to sanitize, and a declaration that this way of being matters enough to be named, recorded, and passed on. The point was never biography. It was blueprint. I didn't create it to tell people to be brave. I created it to make bravery undeniable—and self-authorship inevitable.

I love the consciousness and depth of your questions. It gave me a chance to go to the depths of myself and find the real answers. I think that's a part of your gift!

If you can remove fear, the possibilities are endless.

Anything is teachable after fear is removed.

You can live your whole life and never really be able to say what is the nature of your being. If I was gonna advocate something, it would be self-knowledge.

The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.
